What things does your family do to get ready for the Christmas season?

What does your family do to get ready for the holidays,do you decorate your house for the Christmas season,do you wear special clothes(example would be red turtle neck green pants) I plan on printing out lots of Christmas coloring pages and then coloring them and glittering them and cutting them out and decorating the house,I wonder should I get started now or wait till a week before Thanksgiving,
I love wearing, red,blue,white,green,yellow.

nothing my children are all grown up now but even when they were small we did very little more than going to church. I would get a few presents and some decorations up but leave it as late as possible. there is to much hype every where.
I shop all year long for gifts for my family, friends, and for charities. My family puts up a tree and decorates the house together. I also am making a lot of decorations this year from cardboard. I have already started them. I cut a shape from cardboard and then paint on the details and then cover them in plastic and place them in my front yard. I also am making a lot of the gifts this year so I have already started them as well. I feel it is better to start early so you can make sure everything is done on time and don’t have to rush to get it finished.
We decorate,tree,outside lights,candles.We try to use seasonal greenery when we can for the nice smell of the season.Yes we always dress in our best on Christmas it is the savior’s birthday.We feel it shows we are grateful for our blessings throughout the year.No we wear whatever we like sometimes it is seasonal colors of red and green,gold or silver.It sounds like you have a lovely project going there it will be beautiful.You can start as early or late as you like you know what speed you work best at.I never do anything (except shopping) till after Thanksgiving,That way we enjoy all the holidays.
My husband doesn’t get into the Christmas spirit nearly as much as I do…lol. But my daughter and I love Christmas soooo much. My husband does the lights, decorating, etc. on the outside of the house. We usually start decorating the week before Thanksgiving. My daughter and I decorate the inside…which I do most of the work considering she is only 2 1/2….but she loves to pretend to help…lol. My favorite thing to do to put me in the Christmas spirit is to drive around my neighborhood with my daughter and look at everyone’s decorations. We watch Christmas movies, listen to Christmas carols, and we bake Christmas cookies at least 2-3 times a week. I love that time of year!!!! My daughter and I wear the Christmas clothes too….I have already bought her several Christmas dresses this year on several websites. I usually wear Christmas shirts all through December. I do suggest that if you are planning on making your decorations, I would at least get a start on them soon, you don’t want to wait too close to Christmas. I hope I helped!!
