How can I personalize my room?

Well I’m 15 and I want to make my room more me. My mom said i couldnt paint it. And the walls are white. I hung up some christmas lights but I still want it more out there and unique. I’m kinda punk-ish? i guess. I love colors and stuff thats just creative. So any ideas on what I should do?

im kinda punkish too and what i did was take a bunch of my favorite quotes and write them on pieces of paper all colorful and stuck them up on the wall. (i would have loved to paint them on but we’re renting). i also collected some posters from my favorite movies too. and a mind warp poster.
another good thing, get a cork board. if your anything like me than you probably come home from school with pockets full of doodles and little notes your friends send you. stick them up on the cork board.
if your an artist draw some stuff and stick em up. or paint a mural. that would look uber cool.
